Distant Discoveries

Western Australian Museum is home to millions of collection items, some of which can be traced back almost to the beginning of the Earth. Working behind the scenes are passionate curators and researchers who use those collections to help us understand our world.

As part of our Distant Discoveries program, over the coming weeks you will see a range of videos, photography and stories—you can read, watch and listen from wherever you are. We’ll also have some fun opportunities to submit your own stories and content.

Check this page regularly to explore our wide range of content—it will grow each week—and follow @wamuseum on FacebookInstagram or Twitter to stay connected.
