Harriet Gillies and Xanthe Dobbie

Queer PowerPoint is heading to WA Museum Boola Bardip for one night only on Thursday 18 November.

Queer PowerPoint is a comedy show that dives headfirst into the ideas, obsessions, fascinations and deeply felt convictions of queer individuals.

The show has only one rule, presenters must share their ideas in 10-minutes using the most staid, straight, and ubiquitous programming tool – Microsoft PowerPoint!

Sydney-based Queer PowerPoint creators, Harriet Gillies and Xanthe Dobbie said they are excited to bring the show to Perth for a night of surprising stories, secrets, and star-wipe transitions.

Queer PowerPoint has been such a fun way to share mine and Xanthe's deep nerd adoration of PowerPoint,” Gillies said.

“Perth is the first stop in Queer PowerPoint’s global domination. Cute nerds with awesome slide transitions unite,” she said.

Perth audiences will get the opportunity to enjoy the sell-out Sydney show with the addition of four WA performers including, Dakota Jones, Dureshawar Khan, Nicola Macri and Mossy Jade Johnson.

Bringing the Queer PowerPoint show to WA Museum Boola Bardip is just one way the Museum is celebrating the LGBTQIA + community. WA Museum Boola Bardip’s Queering the Museum tour is currently available with more public programming and events planned for 2023.

Queer PowerPoint is a ticketed event on Thursday 18 November from 6.30 pm to 10 pm at WA Museum Boola Bardip. Standard tickets are $20, Concession is $18. Discounts apply for WA Museum Members.
