A herd of dinosaurs rampaged through Perth today on their way to the Dinosaurs of Patagonia exhibition at the WA Museum Boola Bardip.

Dinosaurs joined commuters on Transperth bus services, before making their way through Perth Train station to the Perth Cultural Centre and into the WA Museum Boola Bardip where they joined their Patagonian friends!

Dinosaurs of Patagonia is a remarkable, ‘world-first’ exhibition, featuring the world’s largest dinosaur Patagotitan: but it is only in WA until October 23!

The exhibition, developed by the Museo Paleontológico Egidio Feruglio (MEF) in southern Argentina, demonstrates why Patagonia has provided the best dinosaur fossil sites in the whole of the southern hemisphere.

Western Australian Museum CEO, Alec Coles explained that the dinosaur invasion was designed to remind people about the extraordinary exhibition, and that there are only another three weeks before it closes.

“Dinosaurs of Patagonia has been a huge hit with the WA public, but with only limited time left, we wanted to remind people to take advantage of the unique experience – particularly during the school holidays.”

“The dinosaurs running through the city certainly turned a few heads, and hopefully encouraged people to come and see some of the most recent dinosaur discoveries in the world.”

The Dinosaurs of Patagonia exhibition is part of an extensive school holiday line up at the WA Museum Boola Bardip of both free and paid experiences, including partnering with AWESOME Arts Festival, to offer A Whale’s Tale, Hu木an – a sensory forest adventure, Dreamtime Creation Story with Mitchella Hutchins and Young Inventors.

The WA Museum Boola Bardip is open daily from 9.30am to 5pm. Entry to the Dinosaurs of Patagonia exhibition is $20 adult, $17.50 concession and $15 children over 4 years of age.  Entry to the museum is free until Monday, 10 October 2022. Further information is available at www.museum.wa.gov.au
