My Mum is One in a Million Mother’s Day Card

Make a beautiful sea-themed Mother’s Day card to tell your Mum how wonderful she is and how much you treasure her

Time to do and skill level

30 minutes, depending on how long it takes to colour.

Easy, younger children will need adult help to print the template and with cutting out and stapling.

Equipment List

Resources for Mother’s Day card

You will need:

  • My Mum is One in a Million card - PDF download
  • Colour pencils or textas
  • Optional: glitter glue to add sparkle
  • Glue stick
  • Scissors
  • Sticky tape
  • Stapler

Instructions

Step 1
Make sure you print the template double-sided.
You can print on either paper or card.
Cut along the dotted lines.

Step 2
Colour in all the pieces.
You can add some touches of glitter glue for sparkle, if so, wait until the glue dries.

Step 3
Lay wave 2 on top of wave 3, matching the wedges and staple together.
You may need to ask an adult to help you to do this.

Step 4
Fold the tab on wave 1 behind wave 3 and staple together.
Fold wave 1 over so it is at the front of the waves.
Wave 1 is shorter than the other two waves.
Repeat on the other side.

Step 5
Glue the tabs to the inside of the main card, matching the bottom and side straight edges.
You can put a tiny piece of sticky tape on the tab or sides to make sure they stay.

Step 6
Carefully fold the card in half and give it your Mum for a special surprise on Mother’s Day!
