One Day from Glory

WORLD CUP COMES TO PERTH

One Day from Glory: Cricket’s World Cup explores the 40 year history of the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Cricket World Cup. The World Cup has grown from a hopeful experiment into a major global sporting event that is now the pinnacle of one-day international cricket. See how the events in and around the game have shaped our understanding of the sport and provided the drama and controversy that has captured the imagination of billions of people around the world.

SEE REGIONAL WA THROUGH ART

spaced2: future recall opened last week to a great response from the public and media. This insightful exhibition showcases the works of contemporary Australian and International artist who were commissioned to create new works in response to the rich and diverse natural and cultural heritage of Western Australia.

The works, which are located throughout the Museum, have been produced through an extensive engagement between the artists and residents of regional and remote Western Australian communities, with each revealing new and unexpected insights into collective history and memories.  The spaced 2: future recall exhibition is the culmination of the second edition of spaced, a two-year project which spanned across the state: from Esperance in the South, to Derby in the North, and Laverton in the East.

Temporary Closure of Shipwreck Galleries

The Play Space in the Perth Cultural Centre will be undergoing maintenance in mid-March while heritage conservation works are conducted on the facade of the Museum, in preparation for the New Museum.

The Play Space will be closed for a few months and the Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority will be taking the opportunity to conduct maintenance on the instruments and equipment.

While it is closed, why not come into the Museum and explore our galleries and Discovery Centre?  We're still open and there is lots to see and do.

For information on when the Play Space will re-open keep an eye on the Perth Cultural Centre website.
