Terrestrial Zoology

The Terrestrial Zoology department of the Western Australian Museum maintains large collections of a wide variety of terrestrial animals, including both terrestrial invertebrates and vertebrates, as well as marine mammals.

Some of the collections are databased and distributional records can be viewed via ALA (see http://collections.ala.org.au/public/show/in34).

Members of the department undertake research into various aspects of terrestrial animals, particularly their classification and naming, evolutionary relationships, and ecology and behaviour.
