“Crossing the Line” certificates were given to passengers who cross the equator. This particular certificate is signed by two individuals – including Miss Kerry Bailey – and is dated 8 September 1967.
It is a large paper certificate with illustrations of King Neptune and a sailing ship on the top. Beneath the illustration the words ‘Flotta LAURO’ are featured, followed a large segment of Latin text. The overall certificate is represented in a scroll fashion, and there is a small simulated ink stamped sign on the bottom right, with ‘FLOTTA LAURO’.
