WA Museum's regional team brought together regional celebrations that reflected their communities and saw over 12,000 people attend.

WA Museum Manager Regional Strategic projects Rebecca Millar said WA Museum expanded its footprint which meant more people and more activities engaged all ages and saw more multicultural and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families come and share in a day made for everyone.

"This year the regions team introduced a community collaborative art project which used colours to reflect how the community felt about themselves and WA," she said.

The majority of feelings expressed where positive and Regional Manager Museum of the Goldfields Marta Perona said it was so affirming to see the good feelings people had about our community.

"WA Day 2024 was a celebration of our community, that’s why we work so hard to make this event,” she said.
