Fashion details:
We had already purchased a house prior to getting married, so I was trying to save money wherever I could. I purchased my second-hand dress from Deneve Bridal in High Wycombe, and I had seed pearls added to the waistline, and a bow added to the back by a friend's Aunty. It fit perfectly, and I hired a hoop to wear under it on the day. My veil was new and made especially to suit the dress.

The wedding story:
We had spoken briefly in September (1992) at my sister's 18th birthday party, but I was seeing someone else at the time. We met officially at the Mt Lawley Football Club on the 3rd July 1993 when I went along with my sister and her boyfriend for a night out. Neil sat himself next to me almost as soon as we arrived, and we talked all night. He kindly offered to drive the three of us home to my parents house, and I remember it was raining, so my sister and I said a quick thankyou and ran inside, but Neil caught my sisters boyfriend before he jumped out of the car and asked him to bring me along to the club the following Saturday. He didn't need to worry, I'd already planned to see him again as soon as I could, I knew I'd found someone special. On the 3rd anniversary of the date we'd met, Neil proposed, and we were married the following April at St Patrick's Anglican Church in Mt Lawley, followed by a reception at the Woodvale Reception Centre. We had photo's taken at some iconic locations along St Georges Terrace, but the majority were taken at Parliament House.
