Jacket and waistcoat.
Jacket; shawl collar mess jacket belonging to Col. CHE Manning. Full colonel & crown and 2 stars on shoulder straps. Scarlet woollen body faced blue/dark blue. V point on back of jacket. Cuffs pointed, dark blue, plain and no ornamentation or buttons. Shoulder straps - parallel and rounded at end. Gold lace on edges, black field, colonels rank with King Edward crown.
Scarlet velvet lining.
No buttons except small buttons on inside near top of collar. Lace possibly No. 75, 1900 Regulations for Army Medical Corps & R.A.M.C. Plate 76.
