FULL DRESS PARADE - scarlet barathea. Squared skirts in front, closed at back - front piped white - back 2 seams piped white - bottom of collar, shoulder straps and cuffs piped blue. Collar and cuffs faced white. Collar: white barathea - black leather collar guard - one hook and eye. Cuffs: white - blue braid Austrian knot - top of cuff shallow point - 76mm from edge of sleeve - at back 51mm. On manufacturers tag - A.M. Vislop (or Hislop?). Rank (pirvate). Label: 'Hobson & Sons 1,3 & 5 Lexington St, London W, 5352 W7.20. M Vislop. C.D.L. B.Q.L/ C?1331/ W??25. Shoulder straps - red-edged blue wiht 'BRV' on end - sewn in purple lining - greenish khaki lining at top, cream at bottom. Buttons - white metal 'Vigilans' button - swan surrounded by 'vigilans' - 7 on front, 2 in waist seam at back, 2 smaller ones on shoulder straps. Braiding - 6.5mm wide. Button - Hobson & Co., London.
[.b] FULL DRESS TROUSERS - infantry pattern. Black with red stripe; dark blue barathea - 45mm wide scarlet stripe down side - suspender type - two buttons on front each side - two at back. Fly: four buttons.
Buttons: 'Vigilans' around swan. Name on jacket poss Hislop.
