Museum of the Great Southern

Crucifix and colourful materials making an art work

The Western Australian Museum – Albany is proud to present local artists in their new pop-up gallery.

Join us from March 22 to 28 to see the works of local artist, Jenni Bourke.

Living in Albany but formerly of Perth and Fremantle, Jenni began painting as a form of self-expression, then explored other mediums and accidentally 'discovered' creative knitting.  Jenni makes wall-hangings for the home and wearable art in the form of neck-pieces, jewellery, scarves and shawls as well as clothing hand-dyed with paint, sometimes working with metal and wood. Each piece is a unique and intuitive design.
