Dinosaurs and other creatures of the Cretaceous greenhouse world Thu 26 Jun 2014 6:00pm – 7:00pm Presented by Dr Mikael Siversson, Curator of Palaeontology, Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences, Western Australian Museum Part of the WA Museum’s 2014 In the Wild West Lecture Series. Dinosaurs reached their peak diversity during the Cretaceous period when the rising sea isolated animal populations on large islands. This era produced some of the most spectacular animals the world has ever seen. Join Dr Mikael Siversson as he presents a time in our planet’s history when giant dinosaurs walked the earth, plane-sized pterosaurs patrolled the skies, and enormous crocodilians lurked in the rivers.
