French Explorers: Learning Resources

The French Explorers in WA exhibition celebrates two French expeditions of scientific discovery to Australia from 200 years ago.

Students will view illustrations of Australian marine life as well as striking portraits, rare documents and hand-drawn maps created by the French crew of Géographe and Naturaliste from 1800-1804. Then they will discover the science and stories behind the 1818 Louis de Freycinet’s expedition on board the Uranie.  Find out more.

Entry to the exhibition is free for education groups. Self-guided booking information can be found on the WA Maritime Museum education page
