Beacons, Breakers and Barnacles Join the Discovery Centre team for a journey back in time to life on a remote Lighthouse island! Take the lighthouse keeper’s lunch challenge to see if you have the skill to land the keeper’s lunch safely across the rolling seas before the greedy seagulls get it; learn all about the secret life of waves and how important they are to making your favourite beach a great place to be; and discover what sort of creature with no heart, lungs or gills lives in our shallow waters - you’ll be surprised to learn who their relatives are!

A Monster Mission Ahoy ye adventurers! Come sail through the Shipwreck Galleries in search of strange and mysterious beasts of the deep. Set out on a Monster Mission activity trail and find some of the animals and monsters that lurk within the stories of the sea.

Insect Adventures and Fashion Frolics
Insect Adventures Go mad for marvellous minibeasts as you uncover the fascinating world of insects! Help us create a massive rainbow butterfly migration, assemble an insect at our bug combination station, get busy with our bee craft and make your own spectacular insect mask to take home.
