jacket, waistcoat (vest), trousers, cap?
Mess coat; closed collar jacket, red scarlet body, Barathea with dark green facings, silver binding. Squared stand-up collar edged with braid. Dark green facings, small austrian knot at top, edged silver binding. Hook and silver braid cord, sboulder strap missing, scarlet satin padded lining. row of brassy looking balls at front - latched up(?).
Vest; dark green barathea mess waist coat. V open front-on back - olive green backing. Front piped by silver Russia braid and on bottom. Front pointed, squared back. Eye on front points - silver braid. lead grey balls on front - hook and eyes. 'Pocket area' - edging of silver Russia braid - crows feet both ends and either side of the middle.
Back - taken out with extra material - back buckle and strap waist adjustor. Lining - white cloth.
Lock of hair in right slit pocket.
Label on strap "Lt. C.Y. Deane" 81. Colour of cloth close to (KB5)
