DRESS, Bodice and Skirt

Dress of rich, midnight blue silk satin; handsewn throughout.
[.a] Bodice jacket style, requiring a chemisette; deep V- neckline plunging into deep V points; front closure with 5 hooks and eyes; front edges trimmed with scrollin black braid and tiny glass beads; 3 elaborate decorative buttons; V-shaped shawl-like panel over shoulders echoes front edges, also trimmed; dropped shoulders with 2- stage pagoda sleeves, requiring undersleeves; natural waistline at back, but V-shape stressed by tiny basque tails ; 2 long bones ov breasts; 2 short bones (1 missing) on side seams; lined with white cotton calico.
[.b] Skirt: re-made entirely at waist, though stitch lines suggest plea at front and back with bunched back; pocket at back left; closure at back righ lined with white cotton calico.
