Bodice of white cotton muslin; wide neck edged with band of fine white-work; front is separate piece (for nursing?) like an inverted apron, wit tapes to tie around back; decorated in a V-panel outlined by insertions of sam white-work, enclosing horizontally-gathered sections ("Grecian robings"); lon sleeves puffed high at shoulder, tight and narrow below elbow, narrow cuff decorated with 2 vandyke-type flaps; back is gathered at centre left and righ to waistband, reinforced with calico; back closure with drawstring and tiny worked button at neck, flat copper hook and eye at waistband. Handsewn throughout.
