White lawn. Round neck, with drawtape. Embroidered on bodice in "V" shaped panel, extending into a point over the waistband. Frill with whitework tacked to edge, but not seamed. Long sleeves with added, turn-back, whitework cuff. Embroidery edged with knots. Skirt handstroked onto narrow braid serving as waistband. Skirt embroidered in widening panel, branching floral pattern edged with whitework frill. Seams only roughly tacked. Never finished. In black ink on bodice back seam, "Lefroy". National Trust thought dated 1869.
