White cotton. Fairly wide, round neck. "V" shaped panel of broderie anglaise insertion on bodice, piped and with broderie anglaise frill. Frills continue onto back. Piped seams reminiscent of women's dress of 1860's ca. Very full skirt, handstroked onto narrow waistband. Skirt embroidered in wise panel down front, with broderie anglaise, directly onto fabric. Broderie anglaise continues in wide border around skirt. Very fine example of this. Mostly machine sewn. Very short, embroidered sleeves. Back fastening with tapes at neck and waist and one pearl button.
