White cotton. High neck with machinery lace trim. Yoked, with "V" shaped panel of machinery broderie anglaise insertions, continuing to back and frills. Long sleeves, gathered into shoulder and wrist, with 2 bands machinery braid and frill of machinery broderie anglaise. 3 rows vertical pintucks at back of bodice. Back fastening with draw-tape at neck and tapes at waist. Full skirt gathered onto bodice, finished with machinery braid. Above hem: 5 rows tucks and broderie anglaise frill. All machine-sewn. 3-4 years old child. Probably worn by one of the Brierley children.
