White lawn. Round neck with large, square fold-down embroidered muslin collar. Collar broderie anglaise with double feather stitch edging. Pintucks and double feather stitch on bodice. Elbow length muslin sleeves, with wide embroidered (broderie anglaise) frill. Fastens with drawtapes at neck and waist. Lone skirt, set straight into waistband at front, tightly gathered from sides to back. Rows of pintucks down skirt, with 2 insertions of broderie anglaise on muslin. Pintucks above hem, with insertion and wide broderie anglaise frill. All machine sewn with lock stitch. National Trust thought 1870 ca. Probably 1870's ca to 1900's.
