White cotton. Dimensions suggest first robe. High neck with machine Valenciennes lace trim. 2 bands of pintucking form "V" back & front. Square yoke emphasized with lace trim frill, back & front. Full sleeves with lace frill from gathered cuff. Skirt gathered onto yoke. Widening panel of ornamentation down skirt, composed of alternate rows of machine broderie anglaise, pintucking and lace insertions and frills. Above hem at sides & back, 2 bands of machine broderie anglaise braid with insertions of machine Valenciennes lace. Back fastening with 2 hooks or buttons and eyelet loops. All machine sewn. probably worn by the Brerley Children.
