White, corded cotton, nightdress. Long sleeves, high neck, gathered at front under waistband. 4 panels, comprising one front, one back & two "V" panels in sides from under the arm widening to the hem. Opening at back with drawstring tie at neck. Gathered around neck. Embroidered waistband bordered by embroidered ungathered flounce. Ties attached to edges of waistband. Band of machine made braid around neck bordered with lace. Same braid at wrists bordered by band of embroidery. Band of embroidery on hem. French seams. All machine sewn.
