DRESS, Blouse & Skirt

All black, separate blouse and skirt, matching.
Blouse: Polished cotton lining with open-weave cotton overlay. Silk pouched centre piece with two sets of shirred rows at top. Braid trimming worked into a circle at top of each front and on deep cuffs of long sleeves. Front braid also extends to same decoration on each side of back. Wide tucks in overlay on each side of front and back. High collar of cotton crochet with silk edging at top. Gathered piece of open-weave cotton forms waistband. 9 stays. Fastens with hooks and eyes and also attaches to skirt with same.
Skirt: Polished cotton lining with open-weave cotton overlay. Extra section of ordinary black cotton at hem, gathered onto lining 16cm above hem. Strip of silk forms waistband - narrow - fastens with 2 hooks and eyes along band and five down opening. Two eyes on back of skirt match hooks on bodice for attachment.
