Bright blue and grey striped silk. Round, fairly low neck, piped, with machine lace trim. Fringed, geometric pattern in bright blue and white around neck & edging handkerchief points on sleeves. "V" shaped pleats on bodice front. Fitted to round waist with waist band piped top & bottom. Back fastening with 6 metal hooks & eyelets & top modern button. Full skirt, pleated into waist. Same fabric box at back, with pinked edges. Glazed cotton lining in bodice & at hem line. Stiffened, open-weave cotton lining in skirt. Pocket in right hand skirt seam. All hand-sewn.
