Reproduction dress, circa 1860.
(a) Bodice: Bright blue silk in zouave jacket style; front closure with hooks and eyelets and decorative buttons, black bow at neck; edges trimmed with pleated black ribbon and black lace; engageantes of white cotton trimmed with lace, attached to sleeves; maker's label inside neck.
(b) Skirt: Very full, gored and box pleated; attached to narrow waist band; box pleats padded with dacron for fullness without a crinoline; hem trimmed with inserted triangular panels in black and brown.
