Trimmed all round with pleats of same material. Pleating repeated around top of sleeves, with cream silk fringing. Sleeves jacket style, full at elbows cut in 2 sections with inner and outer seam. Band of pleating at cuff, with 1/2 band above this. Front fastening with 4 large pearl buttons (one missing) and 2 hooks at waist (missing). Lined with cream silk. Cotton perspiration pads under arms. Boned. 2 short bones on either side of front opening and one down each side seam. Bodice cut in 3 sections at back, with seams curving shoulder-waist. 2 waist tapes (silk) sewn to side seams (right hand ribbon torn). Bust pads above front bones. Fold down flaps behind buttons on both sides. All machine sewn, except front waistband which appears hand-sewn. Trimming attached by hand.
