(a) Bodice: cream, fitted to waist length. Round neck. Short gathered sleeves, held by beaded trim and with short machine embroidered gauze frill. Matching frill at neck with beaded frill. Bolero effect overlay with frill and beaded trim. Beading around waist. Front fastening with 12 hooks concealed placket. Glazed cotton lining. 9 bones: one on back seam, one on either side, one on each side seam and 2 in front. Pleats down front on either side, one on each side seam and 2 in front. Pleats down front on either side of hooks. Moiré effect on material.
(b) Skirt, cream, 5 gores. Straight in front. Some fullness at back and lengthened into short train. 2 extra small gores at hem on either side of central back seam for added fullness. Lined throughout with glazed cotton. Hem lined with double frill of stiff cotton lace. Waist band cotton petersham. Fastens with 2 hooks at waist and 1 down back placket. Open seams. No darts. Hook at back to attach to bodice.
(c) Train. Cream petersham. Fully lined with glazed cotton and stiffened cotton. Very narrow at top, widening to hem. Probably sewn into waist.
