DRESS, With Pelerine

White cotton printed with green and aubergine abstract motifs. High waisted with bodice attached to skirt by wide band of same material.
Bodice: Wide low neckline, with collar, vandyked over sleeves and edged with gold braid. (Braid - silk covered wool). Open at back fastening with metal hooks and stitched bars above waistband and three metal hooks and eyes at waistband, cut in four section at front with piped seam slightly off-centre. Cut in four sections at back, two centre sections piped at seams and sloping in to waist. Also piped at neckline and armhole.
Sleeves: Two very large puffs above elbow, lined with heavier cotton to give body and piped at elbow, tight fitting below elbow. Trimmed with turn back cuff edged with gold braid.
Skirt: Attached to waistband by deep pleats facing to centre front on front of skirt and tight gathers at centre back. Cut in four sections. Deep hem of heavier cotton.
Pelerine: Worn wide over the shoulders and large puffed sleeves giving (almost) a horizontal line across the shoulders. Pointed in front to waistband and cut straight across the back. Trimmed with braid.
