White muslin embroidered with green and white wool in sprays and garlands of lillies of the valley. One-piece dress, bodice joined to skirt by 6cm band of muslin reinforced on inside with heavier cotton. Low rounded neck forming into slight 'V' at centre front. Open at back fastening with metal hooks and eyes. Upper part of bodice gathered onto central embroidered strip at front and also onto similar strips on shoulders. Back gathered into centre waistband.
Sleeves: Short pleated section onto shoulder then two large puffs to elbow, then tight fitting to wrist, all seams and edges reinforce with self piping. Lower part of sleeves embroidered and fasten at wrist with two small muslin covered buttons and loops. Skirt gathered onto waistband. Embroidered down centre front and for wide band on hem.
