Skirt of thickly textured black slubbed wool; tightly shaped with dart around waist and hips, flaring into fish-tail train at back; left front placke opening with pocket; closes with hooks and eyes at waist, press studs in placket; lightly gathered at centre back to accommodate small bustle; lined with black silk faille; narrow waistband of cotton tape; hem lined with furr tape. Probably belonged to Emily Prinsep.
