DRESS, 1900 Bodice & Skirt

CH1970.882.a-b

Dress of pink silk pinstriped in black and white:
a) Bodice: close-fitting, 8 bones; wide neckline; unsewn darts give fullness under bosom; lined with white cotton; internal tape belt; long sleeves of ruched white silk, lined with white cotton; hook and eye closure at front.
b) Skirt: straight front; very full at back with "waterfall" train; back placket closure with pocket; lined with white cotton; ruffle of stiffened muslin trimmed with torchon lace tacked above inside hem; hem trimmed with 2 frills.
Worn with fichu and long sash.
Also two pairs of stockings, one pair brown one blue.
