In 1839, twelve shipwrecked explorers walked from modern Kalbarri back to the fledgling Swan River Colony. Thanks to the efforts of the expedition leader only one man died on the return trip, the 18 year old Frederick Smith. Approaching the 175th anniversary of the expedition, join Matthew Mullumby as he discusses the efforts to re-locate the grave of Frederick Smith through contemporary maps and explorers journals.
