9.30am – 4.30pm daily, 26 Sept – 10 Oct (excluding Wednesdays)

Dive into the splash zone these school holidays and explore the amazing ocean environments with these fun activities.

Rocky Shores
Make waves and explore using models to learn about the shoreline and the animals that live there.

Coral Reef Kingdom
Check out the creatures and plants in our marine tanks and specimen drawers then help create a coral reef diorama.

Check out our other fun activities!

Bedazzling Butterflies
Did you know that butterflies taste with their feet and smell with their antennae? These and other amazing facts can be explored when you visit the butterfly area in the Discovery Centre. Pick your favourite butterfly to paint or try your hand at figuring out what came first; the butterfly or the egg.

Carnival of Cultures
Immerse yourself in the world’s cultures as we take a close look at the customs and traditions of four different countries. Dress up in ethnic costumes, paint a mask and experience far off lands as you participate in activities that celebrate the International Year of Rapprochement of Cultures.
