Dementia Awareness Month is Dementia Australia’s national awareness-raising campaign held every year throughout September.

Its aim is to encourage all Australians to become more aware of dementia, to get a better understanding of what it is like to live with dementia, and learn how we can support people living with dementia.

In support of Dementia Awareness Month, we encourage visitors to join us on a special tour where storytelling with objects encourages converstions and evokes memories. This is a specialised tour for people living with dementia and their carers.

Call 1300 134 081 or email reception@museum.wa.gov.au for more information and to book your tour time.

This tour is also available at the WA Shipwrecks Museum
