Daily Programs Tuesday 10 July - Collective Canvas Help us to create an Aboriginal inspired art piece to keep and admire for years to come. Learn traditional techniques and contemporary trends of Aboriginal Art, how art is used for story-telling, and core symbolism used by as our guest artist. Wednesday 11 July - Bush Tucker Workshop and Tastings See, smell and taste the subtle and strong flavours of the Australian bush. Learn about hunting, collecting, and how bush tucker can be used for medicine and healing. Presented by Urban Indigenous Wednesday 11 July to Friday 13 July (1pm-3pm) - Centre for Stories Throw away your assumptions about who is a victim and who is a hero. Forget what you think you know about leaders and learners. Our 'Because of Her’ audio stories on Aboriginal women achievers will inspire, provoke and delight. Presented by the Centre for Stories. Transcripts available onsite. Saturday 14 July - Storylines with the State Library Join State Library staff to learn more about the Aboriginal archives, photographs and stories held at the State Library. Search for family members in the Library’s historical images collection and help us to identify unknown people, and take home copies of family photos from the collection.
