Visit the WA Museum’s Discovery Zone at the State Library to explore a fun space created especially for the young and curious!
Touch and see objects from WA and around the world as you learn about dinosaur trackways, meteorites and our night sky. Reconstruct replica shipwreck artefacts, and compare your body to an elephant’s – inside and out!
The Discovery Zone is a unique space for families to enjoy a Museum experience in the heart of the Perth Cultural Centre.
Free entry (special program fees may apply).
Monday to Friday, 9am - 3pm
Saturday and Sunday, 10am - 4pm

July school holidays at the Discovery Zone will be all about bugs. Come visit us for spot talks and illustration workshops!

Tiny Discoverers - Early Learning Program
Tiny Discoverers is an eight week program specially developed for inquisitive minds aged three to five. Packed with games, stories and craft all experiences are open ended, hands on and are linked to the Early Years Learning Framework.

Tiny Fossils, Big Story!
Visit the mini exhibition Tiny Fossils, Big Story! to learn about the marsupials that lived in Australia during the Pliocene Epoch, 5.3 million to 2.6 million years ago.
