Discovery Zone About What's on Opening Hours Getting Here Access Branch | Updated 4 years agoThe Discovery Zone is now permanently closed from Sunday 8 December. The Western Australian Museum’s Discovery Zone at the State Library was a fun space created especially for the young and curious to explore in the heart of the Perth Cultural Centre! You were able to touch and see objects from Western Australia and around the world as you learn about dinosaur trackways, meteorites and our night sky. Reconstruct replica shipwreck artefacts, and compare your body to an elephant’s – inside and out! We invite you to our explore the WA Maritime Museum and WA Shipwrecks Museum in Fremantle while we wait for the New Museum in the Perth Cultural Centre to open in late 2020. COVID-19 UPDATE At the Western Australian Museum, the health and safety of our visitors, volunteers and employees is our priority.
