Lecture: The HMAS Sydney (II) Story

Tue 24 Apr 2018

6:00pm7:00pm

WA Maritime Museum

One of two fascinating lectures from Commodore Bob Trotter OAM RAN (Ret’d) on some of WA’s most famous...and less well known maritime stories.

This fascinating lecture covers the wartime exploits of HMAS Sydney (II), her triumphant return to Australia; her tragic disappearance with all hands off the coast of WA less than a year later; the history and outcome of the search for her, and its consequences.

A highlight of this lecture is the screening of video and still photographs of the wrecks of both HMAS Sydney (II) and the German Raider Kormoran lying in 2500 metres of water.

This special event costs $10, and bookings are essential. To book call 1300 134 081 or use the below link.
