Students visiting the Kylie on Stage exhibition will see costumes from Kylie Minogue's spectacular stage wardrobe held at Arts Centre Melbourne's Australian Performing Arts Collection. Featured designers that students will encounter within the exhibition include Dolce & Gabbana, John Galliano, Julien Macdonald, Karl Lagerfeld and Jean Paul Gaultier, as well as local Australian designers including Peter Morrissey and Mark Burnett. Kylie on Stage also allows students to view a selection of designs, working drawings, photographs and video footage that explores the creative process behind the costumes and provides rare glimpses into the world backstage. Exhibition Theme Areas Kylie on Stage is presented chronologically with themed areas that reflect Kylie’s development as a live performer. Learning Resource The Kylie on Stage Learning Resource has been produced by Arts Centre Melbourne and contains information and activities for senior primary students and all secondary level. The exhibition makes a great stimulus for students in Design, Drama and Materials Design and Technology learning areas, especially when looking at the role of the costume designer. Kylie on Stage is available for education group bookings from the 16 February until 6 June 2019. Entry to the exhibition is free for booked educational groups.
