Marine Life of the Kimberley Region - Day 1

Video | Updated 9 years ago

The animals seen in these videos are being handled by experts who know how to avoid potential bites and stings. To avoid accidents it is recommended that all marine animals should be watched and not touched. Please enjoy the videos and remember to leave wildlife alone, both for their protection and yours.

When the Western Australian Museum goes exploring and cataloguing the remote waters of the Kimberley region, you can be with us in real time.

Our researchers have taken advanced satellite equipment that allows us to stream interviews and footage directly to our website.

This first video documents the scientists arriving in the Kimberley, setting up and performing their first dives and surveys.

Throughout the trip, new videos will be produced to document the expedition and allow the public to share in the discoveries as we make them.
