Males have wide flanges on the fingers; belly smooth. Background colour is bluish or reddish grey-brown with a network of fine bluish-white tubercles scattered on the back. To 17 mm. Breeding Biology Males have been found in shallow rock pools on sandstone outcrops. The tadpoles are small (to 2 cm) with a wide body and highly developed mouthparts, possibly for grazing on algae in rock pools. Habitat Sandstone platforms in highly dissected country. Etymology fimbriata refers to the flanges on the fingers. General Known only from a few individuals from the Mitchell Plateau and Prince Regent River areas. Endemic to the north-west Kimberley.
