They were able to go for a long period of time with no power and lots of uncontrolled weather. After the cyclone there was a lot of mess to be cleaned up, some people had to fly somewhere else because homes were completely destroyed! Cyclone Vance was a big thing for Exmouth and was one of the biggest cyclones in the world. Power lines were blown down because of the cyclone so the town had to go weeks without power.
