Winter Mess Uniform:
[.a] Jacket: scarlet wool, black revers and cuffs. Place for medals. Black epaulettes, gold-coloured braid, brigadier pips: 'EIIR' (white metal over 'R' (gold). Label embroidered in yellow 'C.G.C.F.'. Black perspiration pads.
[.b] Waistcoat: black wool, white satin lining, four brass buttons, black satin back.
[.c] & [.d] Trousers: navy blue wool, broad scarlet stripe. Leather boot straps.
[.e] Bow tie: black, two labels: 'Henry Buck's/ Melbourne & London' and 'Akco/ regd./ Made in England.'
[.f] Leather boots: black, elastic straps in sides and tabs for buckling to trousers. Stamped in gold: 'Flights Ltd./ 4 New Burlington St./ London, W.I.' on both boots.
[.g] Boot trees/shapers: wooden boot shapers, feet only. Both stamped: '(reverse 4) (infinity symbol) 144G'.
