Black morning coat made of older short dinner jacket; tails with single rear pleat added later to create older style; blue velvet cuffs, collar, lapels & buttons (4) added later; original short coat lined in black satin; tails lined in black rayon; sleeves have wide velvet cuff & are lined in white cotton. Hand & machine sewn. b. Waistcoat - Front of coat is Thai silk in blue, black, grey, brown & white floral pattern, cut away at front with 5 silk buttons; rear of waistcoat is black rayon.
