MEDAL, gold, St P. Sports, AO Kopp, 1914

Round, 9 carat gold medal with shield engraved with ‘JWC’ in centre, textured horseshoe shaped wreath around edge with bouquet and gold banner at bottom. Small, gold, swimming swan with flat ring soldered(?) between its neck and back, attached to two flat rings soldered(?) to top of medal. Flat back with thin, cylindrical, pointed metal pin attached to metal hinge on right side. Pin secured with metal ‘C’ clasp on back left. ‘ST. P. SPORTS/120 YDS HANDICAP/Won by/J.W. CRUTHERS/17.3.14’ engraved on back. ‘9CT’ and ‘A.O. KOPP’ stamped into back.
