Flat, 9 carat gold, medal, with engraved leaves on each side surrounding a small raised flat, smooth gold shield. Banner engraved into border at the top. Scroll pattern engraved at bottom. Two small gold rings soldered together attached perpendicular to medal face. ‘F•R•C/1910/Handicap Sculls 1 Mile/Presented to/W.J.TAYLOR,/By F.GALLOP.’ engraved on back. ‘9CT’ and ‘CHMAY’ stamped into back at bottom.
