A4 sized type written letter to "Arpard Szedlak" from "Robert S. Weil/IRO Escort Officer". Letter has black stamp in bottom left corner "International Refugee Organization/OFFICIAL/I.R.O. ESCORT/OFFICER". Dated 1 November 1950. Letter head "USNS GENERAL M.L. HERSEY/OFICE OF THE IRO ESCORT OFFICER". Letter thanks Arpad for his cooperation during the journey, assistance as a laundry worker and help during rough seas. Concludes saying "Let me take the opportunity to wish you all the best of luck/and happiness in your new homeland.". Signed in black ink.
