A walk through some of Albany's oldest streets, looking at buildings and sites of historic interest, and culminating in a detailed description of the many heritage trees in Lawley Park, Albany. The expert arborists are Dr Chrissy Sharp and Mr Andrew Thamo, of the Golden Valley Tree Park, Balingup.
Immigration Stories is the new education program for Year 6 students at the WA Maritime Museum.
We invite school teachers and the education community to join us for the launch of the program.

Albany is noted for its trees and many have individual stories to tell. Join Museum of the Great Southern Programs Officer, Malcolm Traill, performance poets Scott-Patrick Mitchell and Linda Bradbury, and Menang Elder, Harley Coyne, for a walk-and-talk through Albany's historic streets and discover more about the trees that fringe them.
Walk departs from the Town Square at 10.30am and arrives at Vancouver Street Festival, via View Street and Cooinda Park, by 12.00pm.

As part of the SCNRM 'Capture Nature' photography competition, Marwick Brothers Media are holding two free photography workshops.
These workshops will cover landscape, abstract, macro, and lifestyle photos. Along the way you will be creating and capturing images, editing and setting styles, and learning how to select your photos.

The Museum of the Great Southern and Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery welcomes Tasmanian kanalaritja shell stringers, Tahana Rimmer and Verna Nichols.
They will present workshops on the ancient Aboriginal custom of shell stringing.
Visit the exhibition kanalaritja: An Unbroken String to see exquisite shell work and then learn traditional shell stringing techniques to make your own art or jewellery pieces.
